Drumming with Doug Paisley on tour with Jim Cuddy

From Jan 5 to Feb 14 2002 Matthew will be playing “sideman” on tour behind the traps with his good friend Doug Paisley opening 30 shows for Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo. On Oct. 19 Matthew was nominated for a 2011 CFMA in the “Contemporary Singer of the Year” category. The awards are handed out Dec.4 at the Isabel Bader Theatre in Toronto.

Barber teams up with Brown and Stone for upcoming tour

Matthew is very excited to be hitting the road this November with old friends and a crack rhythm section: namely, Julian Brown on bass and Dean Stone on drums. Both Stone and Brown have played with heavy-hitters like Feist and Apostle of Hustle, and were the rhythm section on Barber’s debut record Means and Ends. These shows will mark Barber’s first Canadian tour with a band in over 2 years.
